El dragón es un animal fabuloso, figura simbólica universal, que se encuentra en la mayoría de los pueblos del mundo, tanto en las culturas primitivas y orientales como en las clásicas. Posiblemente, China es el lugar donde el dragón ha alcanzado una mayor difusión y representación. Destaco de manera estética a este dragón, gobernante del agua y del tiempo, de la fachada de azulejo esmaltado del muro de los nueve dragones del Palacio Imperial.
