‘Just Jacaranda’ 45x45cm Glossed Acrylic on canvas. The second in my 45x45cm series. My usual subject matter is Australian,however the Jacaranda tree, although common in many Australian city & rural landscapes, is not an Australian tree. The origin of Jacaranda mimosifolia is Brazil and other parts of tropical and sub-tropical South America. The Jacaranda is a popular inclusion in the landscape paintings of Australian artist d’Arcy Doyle. When I sold Australian Native seeds I received requests from around the world from people that had visited Australia while Jacarandas where flowering.
