Born in Brooklyn New York in the late 1940's. Although Richard's artistic talent was recognized by teachers, relatives and friends at a young age he did not begin painting until the age of 20.
When asked about his style, Richard describes it as Judaic-Geometric-Symbolic-Abstractions. His work exhibits the influence of cubism and the subject ideas are based on heritage and experience.
When asked about his education,Richard proudly states that he has never had an art lesson and is self taught. Since 1981 Richard has had paintings on loan to the Hasidic Art Museum in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Locally he has exhibited at the WCC Festival of creative Arts, the JCC All Media Fine Arts Show, The Delray Art League Intermezzo exhibit. Additionally his works were exhibited in the BCC Library in a one man show for six weeks.
Currently Richard's works are on display in the in the Les Feuilles D' Automne exhibit at The Gardens in Boca Raton, and in April, he will be exhibiting at the Grove of Boynton Beach.
