Toothpick sculpture of the 1st flag of Texas. This flag was created by Sarah Dodson in 1835 (one year before the battle of the Alamo) for her husband who was a volunteer in the Texas militia. This flag contains over 2,500 toothpicks, is hand stained (NOT PAINTED)! The Lone Star is over 6-inches wide and tall. This piece is 3-dimensional as the white portion is lower than the blue and the red portion is loer than the white. This piece took over 1,800-hours to sculpt and construct.
