First US National Flag sculpted and constructed with over 15,000 toothpicks. Each of the 13-stars are also constructed of toothpicks. This flag is 3-dimensional and is "hand-stained" (NOT PAINTED)! This piece took approximately 2,100-hours to sculpt and construct. The "Imperfections" in this piece are "Intentional" as it humbly attests to both the intentional and intentional mistakes within our history. This piece is nearly 5-feet wide and 3 1/2 feet tall. I use no models, pictures, photographs for any of my toothpick sculptures. You can view my first sculpture by Googling; Robert Haifley, "The Gift" which was a life-size" sculpture of the crucified christ (6-feet tall) constructed with over 250,000 toothpicks which I sold in 1992 for $10,000.
