Music is of uttermost importance to the Yoruba people of West Africa. These indigenous tribe have
various musical instrument with which music is made. Yorùbá music is regarded as one of the more
important components of the modern Nigerian popular music scene. Musical expression is achieved through the use of a mixture of instruments - Bata, Gbedu, Dundu, Omele, Sekere, Agogo are a few of the most commonly used Musical instruments. In this painting, Ariya, the drummer drums with much dexterity and the dancing steps of the dancers is none to be compared to. The painting is rendered in a mosaic -like forms and patterns combined with vibrant usage of colours.
