this image was created using ball point pen gesso and pencil. i created this image as part of a series just after the death of the hale bop comet cult in 1997.
i created separate panels that depicted 39 aliens. the number of people who took their lives to board the spaceship that was being concealed by the hale bopp comet. this comet i remember had 2 trails coming off of it. maybe there really was a spaceship that they were able to board
