The black belt martial arts master, Bruce Lee, inspired this painting. Bruce Lee was my childhood hero and I wanted to paint a realistic picture of him so that people who saw it would be reminded of his awe-inspiring martial arts skills.
I have mastered many different art styles but never tried to do a realistic painting, and I never painted Bruce Lee, so I decided to do a realistic painting of Bruce Lee. I painted it on a 36”x24”x1.5” stretched canvas with acrylic paint. I used high quality paints: “LIQUITEX”, “GOLDEN” and “BASICS.” There are tons of colors in this painting; orange’s, red’s, yellow’s, white’s, black’s, brown’s and purple’s. It didn’t take me much time at all to complete. I enjoyed painting a realistic picture my childhood hero and I am very happy with the outcome.
My art means everything to me. I have been fascinated with art since the first time I saw graffiti. For many years my attempts at writing graffiti were ridiculed and my worked laughed at and dismissed as garbage, but I never gave up. I practiced daily until a style emerged. Graffiti has opened my mind to other art forms, such as painting canvasses and murals, drawing portraits with various media and tattoos. I currently use these art forms and will never stop learning new techniques and creating art. I was determined to be an artist and it has led me here.
All my art is packaged with care. I measure the painting and choose a box that the painting fits tightly in. Then I wrap the painting in a protective skin of plastic, add cardboard padding (a thicker, stiffer layer of protective cardboard) and wrap it in bubble wrap. I take the wrapped painting and put it into the box, filling it as completely as possible. Then I carefully put a package of **hanging hardware inside of the box, tape the box closed and put “FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE” labels on all sides.
