I enjoyed this portrait, experimenting with colors and graphite, light and dark. I love the way the illumination of the colors highlight the graphite without stealing away from it. I am very drawn to what is going on between these two and that look. I think my husband and I were able to capture that. We done this work together. I have continued to learn from his tutoring. This was my second attempt at portrait drawing. I did use a reference photo and was blessed to pick up some tips from my husband Brian Parker who is also on this site. It was a true learning experience.
