Vattimo Description: locus eat the kernels off the ear of corn,with battered American flag as background. This year I carved a pumpkin,that communicate the message of Pestilence, a Biblical Biological tool of punishment, that God used in the old testament, to correct nation of people,like Egypt,who did not acknowledge God,but thought themselves to be above God. Well we as a nation are doing the same think, and thats why our prosperous way of life has disappeared. And now many are out of work and can't find jobs. Because man is hurting man out of his own pursuit of greed. Out of turning from God, Every man stopped living by God's command, and started do what was right in his own eyes. So with out God's help, of His blessings,without His healing hand,with out his guidance a nation will crumble to dust, and the winds of time will carry away it's memory. Repent! Come back to God, if you want to save your nation, God will forgive,and restore.

He used these illustrations in his teaching materials. The course takes a look at the prophetic events of four different monarchies that will rise to rule over the civilized world, then fall. Three of these monarchies have already come and gone through out history, the fourth is going to rise and rule over the world during the end times. The Fourth Beast Daniel chapter 7: 7 - 8 " After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong ; and it had large iron teeth. it devoured and crushed, and trampled down the remainder with it 's feet ; and it was different from all the beast that were before it, and it had ten horns. ( 8 ) " While i was contemplating the horns, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the root before it ; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like a man, and the mouth uttering great boast. The vision interpreted Daniel chapter 7 : 15 - 27 ( 15 ) " As for me , Daniel , my spirit was distressed within me , and the vision in my mind kept alarming me . ( 16 ) " I approached one of those who were standing by and began asking him the exact meaning of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things: ( 17 ) ' These great beast, which are four in number, are four kings who will arise from the earth. ( 18 ) ' But the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom fore ever, for all ages to come.' ( 19 ) " Then I desired to know the exact meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with it's teeth of iron and it's claws of bronze, and which devoured, crushed, and trampled down the remainder with it's feet, ( 20 ) and the meaning of the ten horns that were on it's head and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts, and which was larger in appearance than it's associates. ( 21 ) " I kept looking , and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them. ( 22 ) until the ancient of days came, and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One , and the time arrives when the saints took possession of the kingdom. ( 23 ) " Thus he said: " the fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it. ( 24 ) ' As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise ; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings. ( 25 ) ' And he will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Most High one, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law ; and they will be given into his hand for a time, time,and half a time. ( 26 ) ' But the court will sit for judgment, and his domination will be taken away , annihilated and destroyed forever. ( 27 ) ' Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High One ; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominion will serve and obey Him.' He used these illustrations as part of his teaching material . In the Book of Daniel, Daniel the prophet had a dream, in which four beasts , different from each other, came out of a stormy ocean . Each beast represented a monarchy that will rise and fall in history, each will have rule over the civilized world. The leopard with Four wing represent the monarchy on the Grecian. Daniel chapter 7 : 6 " After this I kept looking , and behold , another one , like a leopard, which had on it's back four wings of a bird ; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. The vision of the four beats was given to the prophet Daniel by God , to reveal the 4 different monarchies that will rise and fall, that will have rule over the civilized world throughout the history of man kind. These illustrations depict the four beast that were part of a vision that Daniel the prophet had. Daniel asked God to make the interpretation of the dream known to him , for he knew God was the author of this dream. The four beast are four different monarchies that shall have world domination, that will rise and fall through out the history of the world. The lion is the first beast to appear in the vision, This beast represents the Chaldean empire. Daniel chapter 7 : 4 " The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I named this illustration, Foundation of America because I believe this country was founded by christian who had strong faith in the God of the Bible, and through faith , prayer, and sacrifice, the patriots over came The mighty British military . By the hand of God, A new nation was born, The United States Of America. When the united states was filled with God fearing people, God raised The country to be a supper power, and the world envied the united states and flock to her shores the land of freedom and opportunity. Now this country has forgotten the God who Has given birth to her, Now is setting up new idols to worship, idols of wood , stone, metals, that do not hear or see, or care. Because the united states has forgotten God, It has been plagued with storms, tornadoes, flood, drought, and her enemies are raging war with her, waiting to celebrate her full. It is my hope and prayer that people who love this country would return to honoring God, and return to giving Him thank for all the great works He has done for this nation, and turn from our sins and follow after God by obeying His Word, the Holy Bible. That God would remove His hand of judgment , and His blessing may return to our country. This church was fist built in 1890 and still is being used as a church. it is located in Norristown Pennsylvania This was the first Bible believing church I attended, when I became a christian. I work with the missionaries , I help them with running the ranch, and ministering to military families. Through hosting Bible studies, luncheons, and weekend retreats. Medium : Pen and Ink On Bristol Board Size : 11" x 15" Year illustration was completed : 1987 This illustration was part of a collection of pen and ink rendering i did for a christian mission, for their pamphlet that was published to inform the community, surrounding churches, and the military post near by, of the services they offered, and about their ranch. Their main ministry is to the military service personnel and their families. They offer a weekly dinner followed by a Bible study. They offer a place where service personnel could spend the weekend at the ranch for free, with meals included. There would also be activities they could partake in , such as going to concerts, going to amusement parks, visiting national park for picnics and hiking. The ranch holds retreat for military personnel who are in training, who want to learn about the Bible , and enjoy good home cooked food, rest, and out door recreation in the country. This ministry also lends it's facilities too near by churches, and to the military chaplaincy, for luncheons. This ministry is a great work of God, share God's word, and love through hospitality. About the bell. I call this illustration the meeting bell, because it sat right out side the activity center, and when ever a retreat was being held, the bell was use to let the guess know when a meal was being served, or a Bible study was about to begin. If you study the bell you can tell that at one time it must have been housed in some kind of church or fire house, by the big wheel attached to it's side, so it can be rung by a rope. Then when it found it's self at the ranch , they must have had a arm clacker manufactured, To strike the bell to sound.

I titled this rendering " Full Of Hospitality " Because this is a pocket on a field dress military shirt, which pocket are made for putting thing in, and a pocket is either empty or full. This mission's main avenue of sharing The gospel of Christ , is through showing hospitality. They served in a Christian ministry that reached out to military personal and their families, through the teaching of the Holy Bible and showing hospitality. They have been missionaries most of their lives. I met them while i was a summer missionary the year I was in college. I went back two more summer to help , and they became my friends. The woman is a gifted piano player, so I was asked if i could do an illustration of her piano for her. This couple have inspired me through their dedication of using their lives to serve God through serving others, that many may know God through the teaching, and living out the Word before others.

One of my most exciting ride on a helicopter , was when I was serving in the U.S. Air force- Civil Air Patrol, we were helping the National Guard to figure out the fastest flight paths between hospitals, for future Air transportation of patients. So while we were making a trial run, I was strapped in a side seat, with the door locked open, we flew parallel to the ground, the experience was awesome . One of the things I loved about Civil Air Patrol was doing a lot of flying. I served 9 years in the U.S. Army, during my 9 year of my service,I was a Combat Engineer, Anti tank Toe Missile Crewman, Combat Medic. I spent a lot of time in the field, and one thing that is important to the support of ground forces, is the pilots who fly the helicopters , for the helicopter delivers supplies, the mail, transport troops, air lifts wounded soldiers off the battlefield to the hospitals. Medium : Water Color Markers on illustration Board Size 2' x 4' Year completed : 1991 This illustration is part of a collection of artwork I did while in the military entitled, "The Army Years", I served in the Army National Guard for 5 years, and the regular Army for 4 years. One of the main reasons I got out of the military is because i didn't have much time to do my art work. While I was stationed in Germany I did a few poster, and banners for a German/ American Play house, and i was in a European art show. This illustration was done during The Desert Shield / Desert Storm, during this war many soldier were afraid that are military equipment would fail to function do to the desert sand. While i was station in Germany, I attended a christian hospitality house, that ministered to military personnel, and their families. I knew and heard of soldiers who died or were wounded in the war, we prayed for God's protection for those we knew were in harms way. I believe the reason the casualties were low for the collision force is because God gave them a swift victory on the battle field. No one should think that it was just might , and smart bombs, Iraq had the 4th largest military in the world. The bible teaches that God, causes the rise and the fall of nations. Decoding the symbolism : The " v " with lighting bolt shooting out of it =God giving the collision forces victory over the Iraq's military. The large bold eagle with the arrows in it's right talon , and with it's left talon open to attack, = the U.S. attacking Iraq. The banner mad up of the flag of the collision,tie to the eagles open talon= The U.S. leading the collision nation in war against Iraq . The necklace with the cross attached to it, around the eagle's neck = God protect around the U.S. forces, result of intercessory prayer of Christians. The flag of Iraq illustrated in the shape of the geological area mass of country, being shattered by the lighting = God judging Iraq, by giving the collision power to conquer Iraq, and occupy her land. Medium : Acrylic on canvas Size : 4' x 5' Year completed 2002 I painted this illustration to publicly proclaim The Biblical account of a six literal day creation by the holy trinity, to be The true account of the origin of all thing that have been, are now, and will exist. I believe Evolution Theories have many wholes in them and lake sound evidences to declare Evolution as the true account of origin of all matter. I believe school should teach both theories, and let the student decide which is truth for themselves. The three figures of light that are holding the hour glass represent the trinity, The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit, Who together created all thing. The back ground of the paint is suppose to illustrate the trinity created all things from nothing. The hour glass is suppose is to appear to be made of pure gold. representing a creation with out , corruption, and decay, which would latter be part of the curse the creation would be subjected to be cause of man's sin. The top and bottom base of the hour glass, has the icon of the moon and sun six time to represent the six days of creation. The six spheres floating inside the hourglass represent the six literal day, and what was created on each day. The first day God separated the darkness from the light. This spheres is placed at the bottom of the hourglass because sand in a hourglass always flows down. The second Day God separated the sky from the sea, this is represented in the sphere located at the bottom right of the hourglass. The third day God separated the land from the waters. Represented in the top half of the Sphere. The bottom part represent the plant life that was created on the same day. The fourth day God creates outer-space, every star,and planet. God mentions The sun was created to light the earth by day, and the moon to light the earth by night. This is represented in the sphere located at the top middle of the hourglass. The fifth Day God created the creatures of the air and the creatures of the water. This is represented in the sphere located in the top right of the hourglass. Size 2'30" x 4' on canvas Medium acrylic painted 1994 In this painting the theme is with out Jesus there is no escaping our destiny to be punished for our sins and be cast into the eternal lake of fire. The theme first was illustrated in a poems i wrote a year earlier under the same title. The cell where this scene take place was inspired by a jail in Rome Italy where the apostles Peter and Paul were jailed at separate times. The skeleton figures, one male and one a female represent the fate we will all face unless God saves us through His Son Jesus. The clothing the figures are wearing are to represent different social classes. God is no respecter of social class we are all are guilt of sin, and noting out side of putting one faith in Christ will save us. The skeleton figures represent those who reject God's plan of salvation . The figure Are chained by hand and foot to represent our inability to escape the judgment of our sin. The figure Jesus Is dressed in a scarlet roman cloak , which the Romans put on His shoulder,along with placing a crown of thorns on His head, to mock Him as being the king of the Jews. I wanted to also show His face disfigure by sever beatings, and show His beard ripped out which the Romans did to Jesus during the mocking. I reframed from doing so because with out the icon Jesus look, long hair and beard and mustache, My viewer might not recognize who i was depicting. Jesus also has holes in His hands and feet to complete the whole picture of every thing Jesus suffered to set man free from sin. If you look closely you will see that Jesus has a key in His right hand. He is setting The living prisoner free, be cause the prisoner has excepted God's plan to save him. The open cell door and the bright light represent once a person has been set free they will never come under the judgment of the lake of fire. The rat are to represent that we live in a cursed word because man had rebelled against God. Sure there is still some evident of beauty in the nature world,but there is greater evidence that nature and man are in a chaotic state.

This painting is the second spiritual paint, I did, the first spiritual painting i did ,was the first version of this one, but I did a somewhat mono chromatic blue version. This painting , and the Victory Through Prayer paint, won prizes in a army post art show, at Ft. Lewis WA. The army had three professional artist to judge the show. Living Water took 1st place, and Victory Through Prayer took honorable mention. This painting illustrates how God gives life to the dead, we with out salvation through Christ, are the living dead. For Life is to know, and commune with God. understanding the symbols: The desert = a cursed world with decay and death The skull = the result of sin, we will all face death. the cross = the price that Christ pained, that man may be freed from the penalty of sin. the water fall = eternal life for all who will repent from sin and live their lives in service to God through faith in Christ. The floral covered hill = the redeemed creation, the future new earth and heavens God will create, that will have the absence of the cruse of sin, no decay or death will be found. Size 4' x 5' Painted on canvas Medium acrylic painted 1995 In this illustration i am trying to portray how active the spiritual world is in every day of our lives. How heaven and hell, these two kingdoms are battling it out to win our devotion. Even when A person chooses to become part of God's family, the believer will still have to struggle with the forces of darkness as long as we live in these mortal bodies. The room is suppose to look like it's on fire. This is to represent the destiny of man, spending eternity in the lake of fire, if he refuses to be saved through God plan of salvation. the two people in this paint are the two leader of the two kingdoms. The Devil on the left, Jesus on the right. They are both standing at the door way that will lead to their kingdoms. They are both beckoning the viewer to go through their door. In this painting I want the viewer to understand that spiritual battle take place with every decision we face. When we come to a spit in the road our we going to choose the right road or the wrong road? What ever road you Choose will sooner or later reap the reward. The reward will either be destruction or blessing, the blessed think is we choose I illustrated the devil in a beautiful purple robe with gold sequence , To show He is the king of the fallen angels. Purple in the Bible was worn by king and governors and ruling authorities. The purple hood is to show that Satan is a deceiver. He will take truth and twisted into a lie , kind of the way a person will put poison mix in peanut butter to get rid of an unwanted mouse. Most people don't recognize when the Devil is temping them, because the only view of Him they have is the movie the exorcist. But He is more effective when He appears in the form of a used car salesmen. The gold belt He wears and the golden door way represent His tactics to side tract us with the love of temporal thing such as the love of money , fame, power. If a person gain the whole world yet loose his soul what has he truly gained. Illustrated Jesus dressed in a golden Robe with a golden sash. This represent He is the High priest who offered the sacrifice that appeased the requirement to deliver man from the power of sin, and restore man back to fellowship with God The Father. The door way to heaven is made up of the cross that Jesus gave His life on. If you look at the painting closely you will see holes in Jesus hands and feet. You also can seen on the cross from the blood and the spike marks where Jesus was nailed to the cross. The devils door has endless darkness of Hell , where Jesus' door has endless light of heaven. The rocking chair was designer to represent contemplation. Their are hearts with question marks in side them on the head rest as well the seat. I think of people sitting in their rocking chair when they have a big decision to make. So i think before we make decision, we should thing what will be the fruit down the road. If I plant thistle when it grows up it will hurt me . If i plant wheat, when it grows up it will feed me.

2' X 4' canvas medium acrylic Painted 1996 This painting illustrates a man who finds safety from drowning in a stormy sea by climbing on to the platform in shape of a cross. the storm it's self represents the trail we face in life. the ship wrecked person show that we have nothing we can approach God with, that would sway Him to help us when we call on Him for help. Only out grace and mercy does He rescue us. The platform in the shape of the cross represent that God has provided a way for man to escape punishment for his which would be casting them into the lake of fire once they die . Through God's love and mercy He punished Jesus for man's sin , guiltless Son of God being punished so that the guilty of sin human race may be save through faith . The step represent man's need to come to God humbly through Jesus to receive anything from God. The light breaking through the clouds represents God hearing the man's prayer and answering it.
