This bronze bust was created from my sculpted ceramic bust of Cesar E. Chavez. Size: 15 in. high, 13 in. wide, 9 1/2 in depth. This bust is installed at Cesar E. Chavez Park in Modesto, California. Funding for this bronze bust memorial was provided by Modesto Art in Public Places headed by PMZ Real Estate CEO Mike Zagaris and by Del Valle Homes. THE BRONZE BUST IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. The light spots you see on the bust were caused from water mineral build-up that occurs when some water from sprinklers comes in contact with the bust. I retain the original sculpted ceramic bust. Enochs High School in Modesto, California. James Enochs was a Stanislaus County educator whose career spanned 50 years, including 21 as superintendent of Modesto City Schools. He lived to the age of 84. This sculpture is included here as an example of my work: it is not available for purchase.

Nude Sculptures - Artists Sculpting Medium

42 inch high sculpture of a beautiful, alluring young woman playfully running her fingers through her exquisitely detailed hair. Although this sculpture looks as though it was created from wood, it was, in fact, sculpted with a paper pulp based sculpting medium that I make. When dry, this sculpting medium has the hardness and density of wood. I sculpted this figure in two sections over a rudimentary form. When completed the two sections were removed from the rudimentary form and combined. This resulted in a sculpture that is hollow. The sculpture is light in weight for its size but very durable. I meticulously hand-painted the surface to resemble the intricate grain patterns of exotic wood. This sculpture was inspired by wood carved figures that are made in the village of Mas in Bali, Indonesia. I recently modified this sculpture to include pupils in the eyes. Titled: "Dancing Citipati Sculpture"

Figurative Sculpture - Ceramic

This is a ceramic image I sculpted. It resembles a Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist sculpted image called a rupa which depicts male and female Citipati engaged in an ecstatic dance on the corpse of a person who did not adhere to the path of the Dharma (Buddhist code of conduct) when alive. Citipati are ghoulish spirits who lurk in cremation grounds. They are minions of Yamaraja, the King of the Dead. They have been charged with the task of tormenting the souls of the departed who led lives of folly and strayed from pursuing greater spiritual awareness. This is an extremely detailed ceramic sculpture. I sculpted every component of this piece and I hand-painted it. Size: 15 in. high. This artwork is not available for purchase. This bronze sculpture was made from a foundry mold taken from my original sculpted ceramic bust of the Dalai Lama. I added two inches to the base of the ceramic bust with polymer clay to add height to the sculpture when it was cast in bronze. Sculpture size: 14 in. high, 11 in. wide, 8 in. depth. I am currently offering reproductions of this bronze bust. A very limited number of these bronze bust sculptures will be made at a Northern California foundry as they are ordered. Each bust will be suitable for mounting on a fixed base or plinth. I will sign, date and number each bust.
