This digital photo is an exposure blended HDR panorama. Normally, it would be very difficult to capture the luminescent colors in the sky, the dark ocean, and the bright beach sand all together in one photo. Ultimately, 45 photos were taken at various angles and again at various exposure levels, all in quick succession. The 45 individual photos were aligned into panoramas, then exposure blended to form a combined HDR panorama which offers a more accurate dynamic range of colors and brightness.

The roads in this area were originally made with crushed shells. This gave them a pick hue. Today these roads are paved, but they are still made pink.
