From Experimentation and a change of perception came this piece titled, 'Change'. This design came about through experimentation of the image development strategy of Multiplication and the accidental viewing of the practice page in a another perspective. I was able to see a story unfolding, out of my design--what was once a landsape drawing became a story in portrait view. Through colour: came movement and space, then, through design: became a message of peace. Five colours radiate from the centre swirl, a colourful rainbow upon white background opposed by disfigured, disconnected, white colourless flowers upon black, creates a statement about change. Empty, white, colourless flowers make their way back to the pulsating multi-layered flower for renewal--making a statement about society. Choices of pitch blackness opposed to radiant colours was intentional as a means to draw attention to the necessity of unity. Stop Police+Happy=Peace is the message shared. Seeing only 'black and white' can leave the world disjointed and in the dark; regardless of our position we will find our way back to the brighter picture of unity and recognize the disjointedness of injustice and segregation. If we disempower police we will find peace.
