The eagle perching on the top of rocky cliffs was accented by it's sharp image comparing with the soft background.The simple perceptual rule is that the automatic fixation choices are generally confined to area of high information,identifiable by significant difference within the visual field.
The hard beak and gazing eyes of the eagle are the delicately depicted basic stillness which admit of easy recognition and focus.
Either the too-far-to-focus distance or the too-near-to-focus proximity serves the contrasting device to let us concentrate to the mesmerized being which is looking with rapture.The observing eyes are the knot of self-absorption.
