This mask is representative of a traditional Japanese Sanju Bugaku style mask (this mask has no movable features). I sculpted the mask with a paper pulp based sculpting medium (when dry this medium has a hardness and density similar to wood), coated it with modeling paste, hand-sanded it, then hand-painted the mask with acrylics. Cord attached to back of the mask for wall display. I imbedded the synthetic hair into mask by hand. Mask size: 8 in. wide, 10 in. long (includes beard), 3 in. depth.
