Like many flowers,the lily has been grown and cherished for thousands of years.We know that the lily was used by the Pharaohs in their funeral wreaths.Since the early Middle Ages,it has been particularly associated with the Virgin Mary.
In China,the Chinese pronounciation of the name of this flower is similar to the meaning as'Hundreds of things to our liking'.Therefore we deem it as an auspicious symbol.
