This mask is huge and impressive. The Shaman is a medicine man, counsellor, priest and a very important figure in Northwest Coast society. This mask features a great crown made from a deer skull and yellow cedar caved into bear claws. Each bear claw has a different face with a different emotion and are embraced in a cedar bark headband. The feathers are goose feathers but they symbolize eagle down which meant the shaman used his power with good intention. The Shaman King Portrait mask would be great in a large room due to it's size. E-mail me for more detailed photos if truly interested. |
