Sculpted ceramic figure with hand-painted acrylic paint finish. 13 inches high, 9 1/2 inches wide. Xochiplli was the Prince of Flowers and the God of Joy, Music and Dancing of the Zapotec culture in the Oaxaca region of pre-Colombian Mexico. I sculpted this figure while refering to photos of the original artwork which is housed in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. It is a very detailed and elegant figure. Available for purchase. Contact me for details. |
