This image is one of a series of montage drawings of authors. It was created using traditional and digital techniques. The image of the three boys is based on a photograph I took for reference on another assignment illustrating Tom Sawyer. The process begins with a collage of black and white digital copies of photographs , torn paper and type. A digital copy is made from the collage and painted using acrylic paint. This image is available in various sizes as a for sale print.
