Very nice portrait. Not bad for your first drawing. Practice more on your shading techniques. The cheeks could have been made smoother and a little more contrast over the hair would be nicer. The lips and nose are well drawn. Good job. Keep up the good work. hope to see more in future.

I wish my first portrait would have this nice. You will
only get better. Draw, draw, draw, and you will see the
improvements come. Drawing people or animals is more than
just getting a likeness. Study your subjects and know them.
It's like painting water, you sit and study it, watch it flow and run till it becomes a part of you and then render it!

I have to agree with Ray. I wish my first drawing would have looked anywhere close to this. You can never study your subject to close. Study them till the pencil flows with the move of your mind. Keep it up!!! Look forward to seeing more in the future.
