Yuri Yudaev (Racei)

  born June 15, 1956 in Kaliningrad / Konigsberg, Russia.  
 

•1977-1985 - graduated the Artistic-Graphic faculty of State Pedagogical University (Moscow). 
•1986 member of Soviet Artistic Union.
•1987 participant of the All-Union artistic exhibition «Youth of Country» (The "Manezh" Central Exhibition Hall, Moscow).
•1987-1990 worked on monumental painting.
•2000 graduated the educational program of Institute of Contemporary Art, Moscow; teachers: V.Koleychuk, V.Stigneev, A.Yakimovich, E.Petrovskaya, O.Aranson, Yu.Sobolev.

Last Exhibitions and Actions:

•July 2000 - Performance Street-Festival of an art-group «LETO»: Environment "Without Trace", performance "mosTsom"

•September 2001 - performance «and I?» Novodevich'e Cemetery, Moscow on a Street-Festival «Collection LETO» 

•July 2003 - GTG (State Tretyakov gallery, Moscow) showed a video-film «ZAYAZ» 

•From June 2007 to March 2008 - published 3 large art-historian articles in «DEKO» Magazine, Publishing House "GAMMA"

•August-November 2008 - International Plenair in Odessa and Khmel'nickiy Region, Ukraine

• June 2009 - Anniversary exhibition dedicated to bicentenary from Nikolai Gogol birthday in Moscow Nations House

 • October - December 2010 - IV Triennale "Drawing of Russia" (Tomsk Regional Museum of Art), Diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts.

My first teacher of painting in 1970-s was Leonid Pavlovich Ostapenko, who studied at Vasili Baksheev, 1862-1958 (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Baksheev_Vasily_Iney_1900.jpg). Ostapenko instilled in me a taste for oil paints; he taught how kind of the strictness I must have as regards to pencil drawing and watercolors. Landscapes of our native nature - are his inner elements, his flesh and blood. Side by side with him I feel peace and confidence as painter.
