In 1989 Howard Scherer had his work accepted by a Washington D.C. art gallery. Since that time his work can be found in private collections throught the United States as well as the corporate collection of Raymond James Financial.Two of his paintings appeared in a three page spread in a national trade magazine. Howards painting "Ancient Dwelling" was a finalist in the Pastel Journal national competition. This same painting was selected by the International Artist magazine to be included in their book on how to paint landscapes.

Howard has had nine one person shows in galleries in Florida ,Virginia and Maryland He now paints and teaches in Chandler Az.
